Fun Christmas Fact
"Joy to the World", by English hymn writer Isaac Watts, was not intended to be a Christmas song and is actually about the Second Coming of Jesus, not His First!
A Blessed Christmas -- Hugh Martin
From Joni & Friends:
A Blessed Christmas
Hugh Martin
Although he battled a variety of challenging conditions late into his 90's, it did not slow down Hugh Martin. Well known as the lyricist who penned “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” for Judy Garland, Hugh re-wrote the words to this beautiful song after he came to Christ. He aptly titled his sacred lyrics, “Have Yourself a Blessed Little Christmas.” Join our host Joni Tada and this gentle, soft spoken legend, as they share the joy and hope of Christmas.

Christmas Gifts
Oren Arnold once made seven wonderful suggestions about the best Christmas gift of all:
* To your enemy, forgiveness
* To an opponent, tolerance
* To a friend, your heart
* To a customer, service
* To all, charity
* To every child, a good example
* To yourself, respect
Marvellous as these are, they do not compare with God’s great gift to us when Love came down at the very first Christmas.

Home Church Gathering on the 9th of December
On Friday night we again fellowshipped with our newest homechurch members in Byford, on their beautiful one acre property. Beginning with an array of hymns, we moved onto a sermon from 1 Thessalonians 5. I looked at verses 11-28 (instructions on how to be as Christians in the End Times). We ended with a prayer and a drive home talking to God. Marrantha!
